As we scale our trade and contract sales efforts, we are looking for an experienced leader to drive growth and build a high-performing team across the U.S., we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Director of Trade and Contract Sales to drive our U.S. trade and contract business.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced sales leader to establish and grow our trade and contract sales division across the U.S. This role comes with full P&L responsibility, making it a pivotal position in scaling our business operations. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a strategic sales plan, build and lead a nationwide team, and collaborate closely with our trade and contract sales team in Finland.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a national trade and contract sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
- Take full P&L ownership for the U.S. trade and contract business.
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing nationwide sales team.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, and corporate clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the B2B sector, including hospitality, corporate, and real estate projects.
- Collaborate with the Finnish trade and contract sales team to ensure seamless operations and support.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Develop and oversee sales performance metrics, forecasting, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in trade and contract sales, preferably in the design, furniture, or home decor industry.
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in B2B sales and business development.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing a sales team.
- P&L management experience, with the ability to drive profitability and growth.
- Established network within the architecture and design community
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Ability to travel as needed to support nationwide sales efforts.
